Biography - Jim Noone, CPA

I graduated from Bentley College in 1981 with a bachelor.s degree in accounting and shortly thereafter entered the field of public accounting. After passing the CPA examination in October of 1986, I found I was primarily interested in taxation which led me to the tax departments of several local and regional accounting firms in the greater Boston area.

In 1989 I decided to start my own accounting firm; James P. Noone CPA, PC was initially based in Lawrence, but subsequently moved to North Andover. I sold the firm in 2009. My practice was focused on providing tax services to small businesses and affluent individuals, including tax preparation, strategic planning and audit representation. During this time I also operated an independent small business apart from my CPA firm, that experience made me acutely aware of the challenges of running a small business from virtually every angle.

I joined Riley & Associates, PC in December of 2010 because I found it a perfect fit for my extensive experience of helping small businesses and individuals address the challenges of today.s volatile income tax landscape.
